In response to an article in the Daily Telegraph published on February 6, MGI would like to point out the following:
1. The article makes factually inaccurate claims. MGI does not produce PCR testing equipment. Also, the NHS and MGI do not have a partnership.
2. As the article itself states, “MGI is not accused of collecting or misusing any genetic data”. We have never collected or misused any genetic data in any of the markets in which we operate, and MGI strenuously rejects any suggestions or implications otherwise.
3. MGI will continue to be a reliable and secure partner for our customers in the UK, complying with local laws and regulations.
