MGI will participate in the 28th International Congress of International Society for Forensic Genetics (ISFG) Conference in Prague from September 9 to 13, 2019. The ISFG has the longest history and most prestige in the field of forensic genetics. Investigation technologies using forensic genetics including offender DNA database play a huge role in the criminal justice system.
MGI will showcase the MGISEQ-2000 genetic sequencer and introduce our high-throughput sequencing platform for forensic genetics. MGI's DNBSEQTM sequencing technology features increased accuracy, decreased duplicates, and reduced index hopping, enabling users to get more information from DNA and helping solve problems efficiently.
Launching soon is MGIEasy Pa-SNPs Genotyping Kit, a two-step multiplex PCR-based targeted library prep kit for rapid detection of 2010 high frequency single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of human. Designed to work with multiple sample types, including cell-free DNA (cfDNA), gDNA of blood, tissue, saliva and hair, this kit has been tested to accurately detect 2% DNA content and above.
