Shenzhen, China, 27 August 2021 - MGI and Molbreeding Biotech Co., Ltd. (Molbreeding) officially formed strategic cooperation in Molecular Breeding.


Under the partnership, the two parties will join hands to develop more molecular breeding applications and products based on MGI's DNBSEQ-T7 ultra-high throughput sequencing platform, to promote the innovation and industrialization of animal and plant molecular breeding in China.


Enhancing genetic detection capacity with lower cost to improve the efficiency of animal and plant molecular breeding


With the continuous industrialization of molecular breeding from scientific research, breeders have higher requirements for genetic detection capacity, cost and cycle. High-throughput sequencing can be applied throughout the whole process from genome mapping to gene mining and molecular breeding, which can improve breeding efficiency by a hundred to even a thousand times.
