Supported by MGI proprietary sequencing technology and Huazhi’s accumulation in molecular breeding of crops, livestock, poultry, and aquatic products, the two parties will jointly build a sequencing service platform with ultra-high-throughput, ultra-low cost and greater influence in molecular breeding based on DNBSEQ-T7RS sequencing platform to benefit the industry through intelligent innovation and technology.

The two parties will also jointly launch major scientific research plans, publish scientific research achievements, and develop new technologies, new tools, new products, and new applications to promote the transformation and application of scientific results and improve the sustainable and healthy development of the industry.

Both sides will strive to solve key technical challenges of molecular breeding to speed up the popularization and application of sequencing technology in resource identification, germplasm evaluation, variety protection, functional gene-mining and identification, new variety cultivation and more.
