Release date:2019-06-05Writer:MGIViews:4737Share

Sao Paulo, May 24, 2019 – MGI is bringing its genetic sequencing and laboratory automation platforms to Brazil, where the company participated in the Hospitalar conference May 21-24.

MGI showcased its innovation in next generation sequencing technology and presented along with its early adopter in the local market, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). Based on its proprietary technology, MGI produces sequencing devices, equipment, consumables and reagents to support life science research, medical diagnosis and healthcare.

At Hospitalar, MGI exhibited its MGISEQ-200RS and MGISEQ-2000RS genetic sequencers, MGISP-960 sample prep system and MGIFLP modular workstation.

MGISEQ-200RS and MGISEQ-2000RS genetic sequencers based on MGI's DNBSEQTM sequencing technology combine low error accumulation, low duplicate reads, high signal intensity in the 2nd strand detection, and high uniformity to higher GC rich region, which can improve the detection accuracy and achieve more efficient sequencing.

MGISP-960 High-throughput Automated Sample Preparation System is a flexible, fully automated workstation with a built-in NGS sample-prep process and tailored workflows to satisfy unique needs of individual labs. Applications are available for genomics, cell biology, drug discovery, protein science, analytical chemistry and more.

MGIFLP is a modular NGS workstation independently developed by MGI. It integrates the entire NGS process into one step and provides clinical personnel and researchers a fully automated package, from sample to sequencing report.
